The pull-lay
The gripper holds the sheet. The green holds the window.
A misregistered sheet is not "almost on color." It is off. A landing that kisses the hole and then sprints is off in the same way.
We watch the first mark and the second bounce as two colors that must trap. If they do not trap, the window is a sketch. Closing it is a gripper move: steeper arrival, less skip, more limestone grab. Opening it is the opposite, and only if the first mark is dying on the front edge.
Players who want one number for "how far it flies" are asking the bay to ignore the second color. The jacket does not ignore colors.
